What rebirth does
Rebirth resets your character to level 1 — wiping stats, quests, and your current island progress — but grants a permanent multiplier or bonus that persists after the reset. The exact bonus type (stat boost, damage multiplier, inventory slot) is still being confirmed from the Logbook. What is clear is that it is designed as a prestige layer: the further you push before rebirthing, the more valuable each subsequent run becomes.
This is a common design in Roblox RPGs and matches what Superstephon shipped in Fruit Battlegrounds. If you are familiar with that system, Grand Blue’s rebirth will feel familiar with some Eternal Pose modifications.
When to rebirth
Rebirth is worth considering once you have:
- Reached the current level cap or max island.
- Unlocked and mastered your preferred cursed fruit.
- Filled your Trait slots with something you are satisfied with.
- Completed the major achievements available in your current run.
Rebirthing too early wastes the prestige bonus. Rebirthing after you have extracted everything from the current run maximises the value of the permanent bonus.
