Grand Blue Races, Traits, and Factions

Who you are on the wardrobe screen, and which colour you sail under.

Players Hub

Grand Blue does not ship a 50-unit gacha roster. You are the roster: a Race, two Trait slots, a faction colour, a fighting style, and a cursed fruit. This hub is the identity half. Combat numbers live in builds. The wardrobe UI lives in how to redeem codes because that is where Race and Traits actually sit.

Two child pages:

  • Races and traits — Human default, Mythic 0.15% Traits, how to spend Release!.
  • Factions — Pirate versus Marine, quest flavour, dock PvP.

What you see in Customize Character

The wardrobe is a library set: shirts on a rail, bookshelves, a FINISH button. Along the right:

  • Trait Storage
  • Trait 1 / Trait 2 (“Spin for a trait”)
  • Purchase Rerolls and a live reroll count
  • Race with arrows (Human on a fresh slot)
  • Chances, including Mythic 0.15%
  • Codes field — codes hub

That screen is the character creator. Play is the RPG. Do not mash Play and then wonder why you cannot spin Race.

Identity order that does not waste codes

  1. Redeem codes.
  2. Pick a fruit plan, even if the plan is “eat the next plant.” Cursed fruits.
  3. Race rerolls, maybe. Human is allowed.
  4. Trait 1, then Trait 2.
  5. Faction when the story asks, not when a thumbnail asks. Factions.

The reroll planner is this list with checkboxes.

Why “players” instead of a champion wiki

Other games need a page per unit. Grand Blue needs a page per system that makes your pirate different from the other nine people on the server. Race, Traits, and faction are those systems. Fighting styles are covered in combat because they are verbs. Fruits are covered in tier lists because they are loot.

Alpha testers who hit level 50 already have a tradable exclusive. You will meet them. Their item is not a Race. Do not reroll because someone has a badge glow.

PvP identity

Ten players is small enough that names stick. If you pick Marine and farm a Pirate island, you are content. If you pick Marine and stand on a Pirate dock emoting, you are PvP content. Builds plus faction plus fruit is the full “player” picture. This hub is the first two. The video on this page is a playtest of how those pieces feel in motion, not a roster dump.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Early Access pirates and marines.

Is there a character roster in Grand Blue?

You are the character. Race, two Traits, faction, fighting style, and fruit make the kit.

Where do I change Race?

Customize Character on the title menu. Arrows sit on the Race row. Codes grant Race Rerolls.

Should I pick Pirate or Marine first?

Play the first islands, then read the factions page. Colour wars are real on ten-player docks.
