Grand Blue Cursed Fruit Tier List
S through D for island PvE, plant contests, and ten-player PvP.
This list ranks the ten public Cursed Fruits for Early Access Grand Blue. It is not a gacha pity tracker. Weights are drop rates. Tiers are play value after you already have the fruit in your mouth. How to obtain them is a different article: how to get cursed fruits. Kits: cursed fruits guide.
S — keep on sight
Darkness Fruit (Celestial, 0.5%). Highest rarity on the table. In this genre a darkness kit is crowd control plus damage that still works when the island is busy. You will not “try” Darkness. You eat it, you build Traits around it, and you do not trade it on a 10-player dock.
Flame Fruit (Mythic, 1.5%). The fire kit already showing up in launch clips. Island camps melt. Hourly plant contests are easier when you can tag from a short angle. If you main quests, Flame is the Mythic you wanted. Pair with a fighting style that does not overlap the same animation.
A — happy to main
Wolf Fruit (Legendary, 5%). Form / pressure. Better for players who like M1 extended rather than a full screen wipe. On bosses, a zoan-style fruit usually has a health bar of its own in the animation — watch your i-frames.
Bomb Fruit (Epic, 6%). The camp eraser. A-tier in PvE, closer to B in 1v1 if the blast is readable. Take it on island quests.
Chop Fruit (Epic, 6%). Body-effect melee. If you already have a strong fighting style, Chop adds “I do not care about your M1” energy. Weaker at the plant contest if it has no range.
B — complete the bar
Drain Fruit (Rare, 10%). Sustain. Climbs to A if you are learning combat and keep eating chip damage. Falls to C if you never get hit because you only Cannon poke.
Spike Fruit (Rare, 10%). Poke and zone. Good on docks and against players who only M1. Worse inside a packed boss room.
Strength Fruit (Rare, 10%). Honest melee amp. The more you like fighting styles, the more this is A. The more you want to be a logia tourist, the more this is C.
C — Uncommon tools
Cannon Fruit (Uncommon, 25%). Range tutorial. Not exciting. Extremely useful when the hour is about to tick and you need to tag a plant from a roof. Replace when a Rare lands.
D — filler
Spin Fruit (Uncommon, 25%). Mobility gimmick. Eat it if the bar is empty. Do not open a 40x chest hoping for Spin. Do not build Traits around Spin. Swap without fear; mastery saves.
Combined weights, because people forget
Cannon + Spin = 50% of drops. The three Rares = 30%. Both Epics = 12%. Wolf = 5%. Flame = 1.5%. Darkness = 0.5%. A 1x chest is a coin flip on Uncommon. Plan your feelings accordingly.

How this list should change your spend
- Hourly plant: eat anything in D–B, keep A–S.
- 1x chest: acceptable if the bar is empty.
- 100x chest: you are buying 50 Uncommons in expectation. Do it for fun, not because this list said Darkness is S.
- Traits: match S/A fruits first. Rerolls.
- Builds: builds page.
Early Access will add names. When a new fruit appears in the Logbook, it gets a row here in the same patch as the guide. We will not rank rumours.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Early Access pirates and marines.
What is S tier in Grand Blue?
Darkness Fruit and Flame Fruit. Eat and keep both.
Is Spin Fruit useless?
It is D-tier filler. Eat it to fill the bar, then swap. Mastery saves.
Does rarity equal tier?
Mostly, for this snapshot. Strength can play above its Rare tag if you are a melee main.
Should I buy chests to reach S tier?
Not as a plan. Darkness is 0.5%. Hunt hourly plants and quest.
