Grand Blue Fighting Styles
Melee kits, number-key arts, and why Superstephon's combat DNA is in your hands.
Grand Blue’s pitch opens with master powerful fighting styles before it mentions fruits. That order is honest. A cursed fruit without an M1 string is a firework. A fighting style without a fruit is still a pirate who can clear a camp. This page isolates the style layer so combat can stay about bosses and PvP.
Superstephon shipped combat for Fruit Battlegrounds. Expect M1 chains, a heavy, and skill keys — not a turn-based class menu. Exact style names beyond the starter kit are still moving in Early Access. We will not copy Godhuman or Black Leg from other games onto this roster.
What a style is
A fighting style is:
- The animation and timing of M1 (light) and M2 (heavy).
- One or more arts on 1–5 that are not fruit skills.
- The thing you still have when you swap fruits, because fruit mastery saves per fruit and the style stays on the body.
Controls are the binds. This page is why those binds feel different after you unlock a new style.
Starter style versus paid style
Day one you get a tutorial melee kit. Treat it as the onboarding M1. Do not buy a Robux reskin until you have finished two islands. Getting started is the hour-one filter.
When a new style unlocks from a quest or trainer NPC:
- Go to an empty grove.
- Clear one camp M1 only.
- Insert one M2 at the end of the string.
- Press each new number key once so you know the wind-up.
- Then take it into island quests.
If a style has a dash or armor move, put it on a key you can hit while holding camera. Mobile players should not hide that key under jump.
Styles plus fruits
The builds page already pairs kits. Short version:
- Flame or Bomb want a style that does not freeze you in a long fruit animation.
- Darkness wants a confirm M1 so the Celestial bar is not your opener.
- Strength or Chop want the fastest M1 you own.
- Cannon wants any style; the fruit is doing the range work.
- Spin wants a real style because the fruit is filler.
Swap fruits freely. Style mastery is separate. Fruit mastery is separate. Mixing those two sentences is how people panic-reroll Race. Races and traits is a different gacha.
Weapons share the same hands
A style is not a sword, but they animate together. Rare weapons from weapons and gear change hitboxes more than they change which style you should main. Craft after the style feels good, not before.
PvP on ten-player docks
Styles with readable M2 get punished. Styles with a dash win plant contests at minute 59. How to get cursed fruits is why that contest exists. Do not start a style-flex fight on a Darkness node.
Faction colour does not change your M1. Factions changes who shoots first.
What we will add later
When Eternal Pose prints a named style list in the Logbook, this page gets a table with unlock island and whether it is melee, hybrid, or dash. Until then, the table would be fanfic. Early Access notes live on updates.
Practice card
Same as combat, narrower: three camps, current style only, no fruit 2–5. If that feels slow, your style is a crutch for the fruit. If that feels easy, you are ready to spend fruit spenders on bosses.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Early Access pirates and marines.
Do fighting styles replace cursed fruits?
No. Styles are the M1/M2 layer. Fruits are the 1–5 layer. You want both.
Should I buy a style with Robux on day one?
No. Finish two islands on the starter kit first.
Does swapping fruit reset my style?
No. Fruit mastery saves per fruit. The style stays on the character.
Where are the named styles listed?
In the Logbook as Eternal Pose ships them. This page will not copy names from other Roblox pirate games.
